Shift :     Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional on-call and weekends
 

Qualifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with Florida statue 464.
  • Previous psychiatric experience preferred.
  • Current and valid driver's license with no more than 6 points on 3 year driving record.

Description

  • Supervises nursing staff.
  • Coordinates FACT program medication management procedures and processes in collaboration with program director, team psychiatrist, or psychiatric ARNP and pharmacy manager.
  • Under the direction of the team psychiatrist or psychiatric ARNP and in collaboration with other nurses on the team, organizes and manages the system of distributing medication to persons services and integrating medication administration tightly into the individual treatment plans of persons served; and manages pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and administers nursing and medical assessments of the physical health of persons served, making appropriate referrals to community physicians for further assessment and treatment, and coordinate psychiatric treatment with medical treatment.
  • Provides case management, therapeutic, and other support services needed for persons served.
  • Consults with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process.
  • Provides on-call crisis intervention covering nighttime hours and serve as a backup to evening and weekend staff.
  • Oversees the MAR process, narcotic control procedures, medication changes (in collaboration with the pharmacist, psychiatrist, or psychiatric ARNP.
  • Documents process of persons served to maintain an accurate, up to date, permanent record of activity according to established methods and procedures.
  • Participate in daily staff organizational meetings and treatment planning review meetings.
  • Complies with Apalachee and CDC infection surveillance, control, and prevention policies and procedures or standards.
  • Complies with state of Florida licensure and certification requirements to practice nursing.
