Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464.
• Preference for psychiatric nurse with a minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in a mental health-related field required.
• Three (3) years of professional experience, one of which must have been in an administrative/supervisory capacity.
• Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.

Description

• Shift is 11 am - 8:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
• Serves as direct supervisor for E&A unit staff.
• Provides direction to and oversight of department functioning to insure appropriate implementation of program activities, schedules, unit and department meetings, education and training plans and schedules.
• Serves as RN on the unit during established hours/days conducting the nursing admission assessment, screening for emergent medical conditions that require immediate attention, coordinating admissions to the units or to other health care facilities, obtaining admission orders, assisting with insurance pre-authorization and ensuring census accuracy.
