Qualifications

• Licensed as a practical nurse in accordance with Florida statute 464.
• Minimum of one (1) year of LPN experience preferred. Previous psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience preferred.

Description
 

• Completes clinical/medical evaluations, examination and assessments using Agency medical record forms and protocols for assigned patients in accordance with established clinical protocol.
• Provides and monitors medical/nursing care and treatment for assigned patients in accordance with established clinical protocols and generally accepted standards of medical care.
• Coordinates medication reconciliation and documents all care and treatment provided, including consultations and referrals.
• Monitors patient's response to medications, alleviation of symptoms, side effects, adverse reactions, and interactions.
• Consults with ARNP in planning and implementing interventions identified.
• Provides patient/family education and assists in the coordination of care and treatment as appropriate.
• Actively participates in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, quality assessment and improvement activities, in-service education, and other committees and work groups as appropriate or assigned by supervisor.
