Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing. 
• Florida licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
• For ‘Psychiatric ARNP’ designation, must possess Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from an accredited university or college.

Description

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including assessment of presenting problems, psychiatric history, course of illness, response to treatment, mental status examination, and DSM-IV Axis 1-5 diagnoses, and present assessment/evaluation results at daily team meetings and treatment planning meetings.
•  Oversee and collaborate with registered nurses in assessment of physical health of persons served, making appropriate referrals to community physicians for further assessment and treatment, and coordinating medical treatments with psychiatric treatment.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications and conduct regular assessments of therapeutic responses and side effects, and educate persons served regarding psychotropic medications.
• Oversee and direct medication management services.  Supervise and collaborate with the registered nurses to develop, revise/maintain, and monitor team psycho-pharmacologic and medical treatment and medication management procedures.  Collaborate with pharmacist manager and/or contract pharmacy for oversight of drug/medication management program.
• Attend daily organizational staff meetings to assess status and progress of persons served, to coordinate treatment activities, and do develop treatment solutions to problems other FACT staff are having.
• Monday-Friday position. No week-ends.
