Rate of Pay

$16.00/hr


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree with a major in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related human services field preferred.
  • Two (2) years of inpatient experience.
  • Two (2) years of related professional administrative experience in inpatient setting preferred.
  • Professional clinical experience in a psychiatric/community mental health setting preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
  • Maintain authorization as an approved Center vehicle driver.

Description:
  • Make rounds to follow up on client requests and concerns.
  • Monitor inpatient units to ensure that clients receive quality care as per Agency, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Coordinates Unit training for new mental health assistants and re-training of seasoned mental health assistants as needed.
  • Provides MHA supervision; completes performance evaluations timely; follows through with disciplinary action to include writing communication notes, written supervisory notes, etc.
  • Identifies and follows up on needed corrective action.
  • Coordinates and monitors designated group activities for EPH, Geriatric, PATH, SRT, and Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit.
  • Completes MHA staff assignment sheets for all shifts and communicates this with RN Charge Nurses on each shift either in writing or in person.
  • Communicates daily with RN Charge Nurse about staffing and unit management issues.
