Rate of Pay

$26.00/hr

Shift :  Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, but must be able to occasionally provide weekend and on-call coverage.


Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with Florida statue 464.
• One (1) year of psychiatric experience required.
• Current and valid driver's license.

Description

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessment for each person served upon admission and annually thereafter.
• Under the direction of the team psychiatrist and lead registered nurse, and in collaboration with other nurses on the team, implement psycho-pharmacologic and medical treatment and medication policies and procedures, including transcribing, administering, evaluating, and recording psychotropic medications prescribed by the team psychiatrist.  Conducts “read back” process for each verbal order in accordance with Agency policy/unit procedures. 
• Under the direction of the team psychiatrist and lead registered nurse, organizes and manages the system of getting medication to persons served and integrating medication administration tightly into the individual treatment plans of persons served.
• Under the direction of the team psychiatrist and lead registered nurse manages pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
• In collaboration with the team psychiatrist and lead registered nurse, coordinates, schedules, and administers nursing and medical assessments of the physical health of persons served, making appropriate referrals to community physicians for further assessment and treatment, and coordinate psychiatric treatment with medical treatment.
