Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Prior food service experience required.
• Must hold Food Safety Manager Certification (ServeSafe, SafeStaff, etc.)
• Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Description

• Shift is variable.
• Prepare and serve meals for special staff events, including the Board Meetings.
• Places food orders for the kitchen.
• Assists Dietary Director and Kitchen Manager with supervision of employees and acts as supervisor in absence of Kitchen Manager.
• Performs the Weekly Inspections and takes action accordingly.
• Serves as backup cook.
• Provides menu ideas and assist in creating menus for clients.
• Monitors client surveys and takes action accordingly.
• Assist Dietary Manager with interviews of prospective employees.
• Trains new employees.
• Assist in Quarterly inspections at Gadsden, Liberty, and Madison county facilities.
• Assist Dietary Director with department budget.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with the employee's schedules.
