$9.00/hr, plus shift differential

Shift:    Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Certified as a Peer Specialist or eligible to obtain Peer Specialist certification.
• A family member or caregiver to another person who is living with a mental health condition; or
• Certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist certified by the Florida Certification Board; or
• A minimum of one year of experience working directly with children or adolescents with behavioral health needs.
• Must possess a current and valid driver's license with no more than six (6) points and maintain Apalachee Designated Auto Driver's status if transporting consumers is part of the job assignment.
• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services; in active recovery.

Description

• Serves as an advocate, mentor, or facilitator for resolution of issues that a client in crisis is unable to resolve on their own.
• Provides education and support to clients/families presenting for crisis management to regain and maintain personal wellness and recovery.
• Provides coaching on how to navigate the mental health/substance treatment system.
